Introdução
Se és português a escrever emails em inglês, provavelmente já tiveste aquele momento de dúvida:
"É 'I will call you in Monday' ou 'I will call you on Monday'?"
Preposições em inglês são frustrantes porque:
- Não há tradução direta — Em português usas "em" para tudo, em inglês há in/on/at
- As regras parecem arbitrárias — Porquê "at night" mas "in the morning"?
- Erros pequenos soam mal — "I arrived at home at 5pm" soa muito amador

As 3 Preposições de Tempo: IN / ON / AT
Regra Geral (funciona 95% das vezes):

Erros Comuns
❌ Erro #1: "In Monday" (influência do português "na Segunda")
I will send the report in Monday. ❌
✅ Correto:
I will send the report on Monday.
❌ Erro #2: "At the morning"
Let's have a call at the morning. ❌
✅ Correto:
Let's have a call in the morning.
Porquê? "Morning" é um período (3-4 horas), não uma hora exata. Usa in.
❌ Erro #3: "On 3 PM"
The meeting starts on 3 PM. ❌
✅ Correto:
The meeting starts at 3 PM.
Porquê? 3 PM é uma hora exata. Usa sempre at com horas.
As 3 Preposições de Lugar: IN / ON / AT
Regra Geral:

Erros Comuns
❌ Erro #1: "In the meeting" (quando queres dizer "attending")
I am in the meeting right now. ❌ (Isto significa que estás fisicamente dentro da sala)
✅ Correto:
I am at the meeting right now.
Nota: "In the meeting" = dentro da sala (localização física). "At the meeting" = participando.
❌ Erro #2: "At home" vs "In home"
I arrived in home at 6 PM. ❌
✅ Correto:
I arrived home at 6 PM. (sem preposição!)
I am at home now. (se quiseres dizer que estás lá)

Erros corrigidos:
- arrive to → arrive in (cidade = espaço, usa IN)
- in Monday → on Monday (dia específico)
- around at 10 AM → around 10 AM (sem "at" quando tens "around")
- in the Hilton Hotel → at the Hilton (hotéis = endereços, usa AT)
- in the 8th floor → on the 8th floor (andares = superfícies)
- at the afternoon → in the afternoon (período, não hora exata)
- interested on → interested in
- depends of → depends on
- good in → good at
- different of → different from
Conclusão
Preposições em inglês não são aleatórias. Há lógica, mas não é a mesma lógica do português. Por isso parecem confusas no início.
